The Nova 1560 Served Wire Twist Fabricator makes twisted specimen pairs according to NEMA specifications. The tester's unique design together with free hanging tension weights and moving guide prevents the served wire (fabric insulation) from unraveling during the twist fabrication process. The twist fabricator consistently provides the exact number of twists and tension on twisted pair samples for dielectric strength, voltage endurance, and thermal aging testing.
The tester has a twist paddle that accommodates wire sizes from 30 AWG to 12 AWG (0.25 mm - 2 mm). A presettable counter shows the number of twists selected and automatically stops the motor when the correct number of twists have been performed.
